So after trying to get this card RMA'd and the previous seller being of no help, I will try and sell it as is.

The card does work, it starts fine, runs fine, and can actually handle some games.

Where the problem comes in is when it is stressed too hard it seems to bomb out (screen freezes with funny colours, but sound continues playing)

Example It passes a Rainbow 6 Siege benchmark and a 3D mark Timespy run no problem, But Unigine Heaven 4 and 3D mark Firestrike make the card bomb out.

So going to try sell it like this maybe some savvy guy out there knows what the problem is and can sort it out, or maybe it has other uses....

I have a video to show the bombing out if anyone would like to see what happens....

This is how the card will be sold.

Card started acting funny last night, would run fine for 30mins, then the screens seize up and spaz out with funny colours. Going to try get it RMA'd.

Going to try sell it as a borked card bump

200deg for 100min chip side up =D

Oh and don't forget to remove the cooler =P

Take it to Pinnacle in Midrand first. They're good with service.

Oops, ya sorry that was a terrible typo

Here are pictures of the card showing the only sticker on the card.

That is how I recieved the card. So for all those asking for pictures of the stickers, there you go.

When I recieved the card I thought the symptoms were due to overheating so I did removed the heatsink and replaced the TIM, and through my testing it did drop temperatures, but the temperatures never got high enough to crash the system.

And the box underneath is not for this card as some have asked, This is a MSI GT3 OC, not the gaming X like the box it is on.

Where did the card come from? Looks like RMA'd stock, which will explain the lack of warranty info and stickers.

Im not sure if this will help, but try setting a powerlimit in MSI afterburner.

The card wont be stressed beyond that limit, which might prevent it from bombing?

I had a similar issue with my msi rx470, my card would work for a short period of time. Then it will fail when starting up a game.
Or it will fail after just logging in to windows and opening any folder.

It seems as if the memory on the card intermittently fails.

So I took the card to the supplier and the card was faulty and was faulty mem.
