Hi all,

I'm currently using xneelo - Trusted in Hosting shared hosting for a WordPress website.

I'm in the process of trying to improve load speeds for SEO.

I've got a way to go on the website in terms of optimisation, but i think the host is fairly slow from what I can gather too.

Question is - it's a locally served site (.co.za), so while i know the latency will increase moving abroad - would it still be worth it?

Any hosting recommendations?

hire a professional
host local
use a CDN
patch your shit
hire a professional
move to Domains.co.za
buy both the .com and .co.za
hire a professional

I use Domains, AbsoluteHosting, Vultr, Hetzner (DE) and can recommend all.

Hetzner are not the fastest but for < R500 p/m you won't get much faster locally. Their amazing phone support make up for any lack of speed.

You should be able to get a total GTmetrix load time of +-2s on Hetzner shared if you set up your site properly. Pre the current GTmetrix tests I could get 0.5-1s load on Hetzner shared hosting but now GTM gives me + - 2.3s
