Of these two what is the best ITX board at the moment? Or is there another brand one that is even better?

ASUS ROG Strix X370-I
ASUS ROG Strix Z390-I

Thanks
Have you looked at their spec sheets, the difference should be on there?

Logic would dictate that a newer, more recent chip would be better? 🤷‍♀️

Those boards are real lookers though! Good luck with the build.

two are AMD other intel.

Spec sheet is one thing, question is what would be best ITX build possible.

Wouldn't you start with the case on an ITX build? Then from there it becomes how much power you can fit into the case without overheating or well physical size issues.

These little monsters all have USB3.1 and awesome WiFi, but why can’t I have 10Gbe?? Every year I think “This year for sure!”

We have an extremely limited selection in SA. The one thing I would look out for is 2 M.2 slots in an ITX build.

You want monster, you use this as your base:

Pretty sure that some of the X570 boards will have 10gb Ethernet.

Otherwise, I’d go for the best AMD option with the best VRM.

I’d also make sure that the chassis is setup so that there’s at least some air flowing over the VRMs so that the temps are stable.

^^This, VRM heatsink actually being a heatsink over some thin piece of flashy metal is the most important factor. Especially too, if you putting it in the Dan, thermal pockets will be a thing.

It seems asus also released a nice board for the Ryzen 3 in the ITX format.

Necro bump, what has changed..

Not much

B550 & 10th Gen delays are not doing us any favors.

Agreed.

B550 will be the new go to chipset for most people and I think quite a few board partners will be creating some awesome products.
MSI has certainly backed AMD very heavily of late and I think they will have a good B550 ITX board.
