Hey all,

So being clumsy, I bent a few pins while trying to attach a shield to the CPU socket of my mobo (pain).

After watching a couple of videos, I managed to somewhat bend the pins back into position. Is it too risky to try testing with the CPU again? I'm a little concerned it may damage the CPU too when testing if the mobo is working

'somewhat' is the concern here.
If it isn't as it should be, rather don't.
Take a breather and get it fixed first.

So I double-checked that the pins weren't touching each other, then finally took the risk to insert the CPU and start it up...

...and it got to the bios screen with the components showing! This is a good sign, yeah?

Pretty much yes. You have to test your RAM and see if the system is stable when running. Just do a standard Windows RAM test and leave it running for a while.
