does the router have an internal adsl modem @mzg

it doesn't look like it does mzg are you able to plug an adsl phone line straight into the router?

Yes, it does not seem to have modem capabilities and it does not have a RJ11 port.

You will have to connect it to a separate ADSL modem/router.

Unless this is a variant of the AC1000 that I'm unaware of.

Im sorry me but I'm pretty sure I would know whether it has ADSL or not since I have it with me and have used it as a adsl router unless I mistakenly plugged the RJ11 plug into an Ethernet port and I rhen imagined internet connectivity.

Seriously though, I was actually surprised myself because the box does not say it is a modem either but it does have an internal modem and is quite a bargain if I have to say so myself. freekee

Seems we were all right. Forgot that there is no rj11 port on router. The rj11 for the phone line is on the psu and a rj45 cable from the psu for the WAN port.

My post wasn't meant to be an attack on you, calm down :p

So the ADSL modem is external and it comes with it.

Dont think they would have stuck the adsl modem in the Psu. I assume its passthru for the 2 wire phone line in the psu and is just for surge protection and the modem is in the unit. Just because its a rj45 connector it does not mean its ethernet. Probably autoswitches depending on wether you plug in the psu rj45 or an external modem rj45

Bump - to re-reconfirm - this is a ADSL modem plus wirless AC Router
