Then Bios password will poof
 
It doesn't work like this on notebooks after a certain year (Mostly). On these you'd have to read the E2P and remove the bios password there.

sure bud. What does it mean “bios has a password” like how does it affect day to day usage. Is there an extra screen that I have to log into? Limitations?

Normally means you can't access the BIOS settings to make any changes. The laptop would function as normal. He can confirm though but thats my experience.

You can also still boot to external devices and the like but for example if the ability to boot to a certain medium was disabled then you wouldn't be able to get into the BIOS to change it. In this case I think everything you need is enabled and you would never need access to the BIOS.
