Hi Oaks,

Well to start off with i bought myself a new GPU (Gigabyte R9 280x) as an upgrade from a GTX 560, one of my mates has the same card and his pc performed well with the GPU in BLOPS1. Finally i git another card GTX 650Ti Boost 2gb and things are going better now but for some reason my pc will not run to its full potential. My specs:

MOBO - MSI G43-Dragon Series
CPU - Intel Core i7 3770K @ 3.50 Ghz
GPU - GTX650Ti Boost 2GB
PSU - Hotkey X7 800 High voltage
RAM - 8GB DDR3 @ 1300 (4x 2GB chips)

So pc wise i should be able to run Call of Duty Black Ops 1 with no problems at a constant 250FPS permanently in promod(all i play)?? I ran a test with Caps Viewer and Cinebench to see what my pc does and the results are shocking, my CPU runs at 100% when i start the test and my GPU only maxes out on 40% max at about 145-150 FPS according to Afterburner.

Any HELP would be wonderful...

Thanks oaks

Well bacically we want to get the best FPS in promod for the smoothest and fastest gameplay. i can cap 125FPS but does not stay constant when there are wide open spaces in fromt of me... when i cap to 250FPS it jumps around never under 180FPS untill i run outside in the open

Wait, why did you downgrade from the 280x to the 650ti?

Because my PC did not perform well in blops 1 with the 280 i still got in jusst never had the patients to test it with new PSU, dont think i will make a diff...

Do you have a 120/144 hz monitor? Otherwise 60-80 fps would be more than adequate as your screen will only display a maximum of 60fps.

Strange. Did you try a proper driver clean etc before you installed the amd drivers? Did you try different amd drivers? Beta drivers? Sadly one needs to play around with amd :-(
But the 280x should always give you more juice than the 650, so if you still have it I would suggest you try it out again.
Did you copy your friend's game settings? AA etc will be expensive on that 650.
Good luck!

Yeah well re installed windows after i got my AMD, then tried a lot of drivers but that was with a Thermaltake 600w Litepower PSU, Will see maybe i can re install windows once again and then install the 280x and see what the diff will be with the new more juicy PSU. A lot of ppl actually had the same problem with black ops 1 because its not supported my Radeon its made for nVidia, i say thats BS because why would they make a game that is not compatible with other brands of GPU's???

Thanks bro ill see what i can figure out...

not to sure about that, ill post link of screen i am using atm...

Specs - LCD B2330 | Samsung Monitors

Yeah that screen only displays at 60hz, you will only see 60fps on your screen, anything above that is just to measure your epeen against your friends:D!!
But in all seriousness you should not worry about your frames that much, maybe lock the frames at 80, your card will run cooler and make less noise.
