Description of Bad Deal: Well Friday morning I paid for a brand new laptop to @raskad87 . And was promised waybill and pics but nothing to date. I sent him a dm yesterday and this afternoon but still no response. Don’t have his cell, just concluded the deal here on Carb, considering his rating, but seems like I was wrong.

He responded, requested a refund but no further communication received.

OK, I'll start by apologizing to @tmaridzo for this whole mess, OK this is what happened since we made the deal on Friday...

I posted the thread expecting to have the unit ready by Monday, naturally there was a buzz about the offer since it's an awesome
deal, @tmaridzo seemed the most keen on the lappy, and thus I forwarded my banking info as usual and mentioned to him in a PM
that I will indeed be shipping the guy "in the week" since Monday was the ETA for this thing (plus a couple other items).

Then disaster struck and I found myself in a crisis when the specialist called us asking my wife to be admitted on Monday morning
for a major surgery on Tuesday (this week). I became a headless chicken, lost focus of everything, struggled with work, family, sorting
out who would look after kids while I'm gone etc...

Needless to say @tmaridzo expected the item ASAP, which is fair, but I was unable to deliver on Monday, then on the day of surgery (Tuesday) I continued to sh*t myself and missed both the delivery and pickup period for the goods as a result.

The latest is that @tmaridzo has requested a refund and no longer wants the unit, which is understandable and by no means unreasonable.

I will be refunding @tmaridzo over this weekend, I was honestly hoping to deliver the lappy to him this week and perhaps give him a discount for a free item to sweeten the deal further instead of leaving a bitter taste in his mouth.

All in all, this week was a lesson for me, both in dealing with buyers and making sure that I can absolutely, 100% deliver within the
time-frame agreed upon. I'm sure if I told @tmaridzo that it would take a full week to receive the item this bad deal thread would
not exist, but life really threw me a curve and a half this time.

Please afford me the opportunity to fix this mess, Carbonite is literally the best place to trade tech safely, I wouldn't want to sully that
fact, or be restricted from being part of this community.
 
@tmaridzo see the response above. If you like, you can give him the opportunity to fix this, instead of getting the refund?

Considering the time value of money, a refund will be the best option for now, as he can pay back the money as stated in his response. We have had this conversation before in the chat( me and him). He just has to be honest if he doesn't have the money now then he can give me the waybill and pictures of the laptop to prove to me that he can fulfill the deal this week. It's not about making life difficult for anyone, but it's about resolving this in the best way possible for me. The truth is I no longer trust the guy, he just has to be honest with me now.

100s, as is your right.

Something to mention, there's the issue of the negative/neutral Feedback rating for this deal, but I won't allow it. We we've mentioned before, we'll allow negative ratings in cases like these, if there's no grounds for the deal falling apart.

In this case, there are grounds. Family comes first.

Heading into long weekend and this issue is still hanging , @raskad87 still offline. Anyone to assist with his whereabouts?
 
Finally back on Carb after a hell of a ride... the dust has finally settled and I will be shipping @tmaridzo 's laptop tomorrow.
Ok update on this, received waybill, receipt and pictures of a packaged boxed laptop from @raskad87 . Will update you all once I have received it.
