P.S. This is Asus in it's prime. Bought this from a friend that jumped the country. Sadly it does not work on my machine. Does not detect the hardware at all. The interwebs is riddled with okes having similar issues. Some reverting to older drivers. Some having to rollback windows updates. Some simply using a different PCI-e port to get it to work. I'm too old for this shit.
I tested it at a friend's place -> Had the same issue, zero detection in any of the slots.
So we changed bios settings to set the PCI-e 4x slot speed to 1x. Worked instantly on 2 different slots tested with the bios set to 1x. [ My bios only has 2x, 4x, and auto as speed options. Refused to detect in any slot, at any of those speed settings ]
So there you have it, whilst it's fully functional, it might not work for you, as it would not for me. Buy this at your own peril, empowered with this knowledge in mind.
