ASUS ROG Strix TRX40-E Gaming On sale

Hi all.

I saw this ROG STRIX TRX40-E on sale on incredible corruption’s website. Specs seem good and board looks beautiful. BUT it’s tech from 2019 and looks like it requires a threadripper cpu which are astronomical.

Anyone think this is a good deal?

Depends if you need a workstation or gaming rig, gaming rig it's a no. Workstation that needs a thread ripper then yes. The motherboard is well priced but thr processor generally isnt

Yup looking to build up a gaming rig.

You're going to spend a LOT of money on a CPU bud, not worth it for your needs.

Take that money and buy a 7th gen Ryzen or a new Intel.
