Hey all,
I had a ROG Ally Z1 extreme that I purchased in Dec 2023. I sent it in for RMA last week since it started giving me trouble.
They had a look at it and almost immediately decided that it is not worth fixing and that they would credit me. (It was less than 6 months old after purchase, so not sure if this had anything to do with their decision).
Now I have to make a decision:
1. Take the credit, go straight back to the store and buy a new ROG Ally Z1 Extreme, such as the one I had. They are in stock and ready to go.
OR
2. Keep the credit and wait for the ROG Ally X which is apparently dropping the 2nd of June 2024. However, I am not sure if it is actually dropping in South Africa at the time and whether or not it even will drop in SA.
Of course the ROG Ally X will be more expensive and I am more than happy to shell out R3k - R5k on the upgraded version, however, I am unsure when or even if it will become available here.
All thoughts, insights or opinions are welcome.
