Yes, definitely. Just need to overclock it a bit to make sure it's not holding your gfx card back too much. Most games care more about the gfx than cpu anyway.

Yeah this is a pretty good CPU , its a quad core 8 threaded processor switching at 2.8Ghz stock .

clock for clock it holds its own up against Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) FX 8150 8 core CPU .
