Item: Asus HD7970 Directcu II AMD GPU

Packaging: none
Condition: Excellent, (barely used) Well looked after. Very clean. Too clean.
Location: Edenvale, Johannesburg
Reason: IMPORTANT: Please note that I struggle to install drivers on this card. Some people have before. The card used to work fine but windows won’t let me install the latest drivers or even some previous drivers. I have tried DDU and older versions but still can’t get it right. On the AMD support sites some people have gotten it to work. I personally cannot. If you know the work around for the older AMD 7000 series then this card is for you. The card does boot into windows when running “Microsoft’s Display Adapters” but sometimes had to boot it in Safe Mode. I’m not very “techy” so I’m also not the best person to troubleshoot this card. Please note that if you purchase this card do so at your own risk. I am happy to meet up and test if the card works in your system (if you know the “workaround”), before I sell it.
