Asus 6950 Direct CU II power question...

Hello

I have a friend that bought this card this weekend. Only problem is that it requiers 1x6pin and 1x8pin power unlike the reference cards which requiers 2x6pin. His Gigabyte 1000watt PSU has 4x6pin and no 8pin.

Been phoning around but can't find 2xMolex to 8pin converters.

Any idees?

It will be a 2x 6pin to 8pin maybe why you cant find it

Does his PSU not have a 6+2 pin? the 2 pin may be at the back behind the mobo, just look for it

No it doesnt. The PSU is about 3 years old

tell you what. send the gpu to me. I got the 8pins and 6pins on my psu. will send my 6850 back. only needs 1 6pin. lol. problem solved
