I dont know if I failed at some point of the tests but I've completed about 4 months ago, the cypher test and the game rounds, and got the message "We'll be in contact with you soon", but no response thus far.
Will send you a PM bud

Hi, I did the 5 hour assessment at VZAP and I was last week Wednesday and it’s nearly been a week and I’ve had no response any guide as to how long they take to get back to you or did I do poorly🥲

I completed the challenge a week ago, I haven't received an invitation to write the test.

I wrote the test a couple of months ago in Cape Town, is there any way you could check what my results were? I tried contacting the person emailing me but they never reply. I wanna know my marks before going to Johannesburg.

Hey please advise me on what to expect because I’m booked to write and I’m panicking.

What can we expect on the 3 months training, programming language used, topics/modules covered and is there any online resources available to prepare ourselves for that?
Hi, could you please assist me with regards to the 5 hour VZAP test? I don’t know what to expect and would appreciate some help.

Just dropping my 2 cents here, I did both the online as well as the in person test and it was quite an enjoyable experience.

Had absolutely zero desire to travel to joburg for the final test though, but for those who want some advice going through it without being too specific.
Just think logically and you will have no issue. I went through it more so just to see if I could as I had already been doing programming for some time and it wasn't too difficult at all.

The only real issue I have is with the traveling, making it from Cape Town to JHB for a "maybe" job isn't exactly my idea of a good financial decision :p.

Hi There.

As a Professional Architect I realised that the growth in my field was limited, the pay was terrible and the hours were crazy. I then decided that I wanted a change. I taught myself basic coding, HTML, CSS and then dove into Javascript. Was then looking for an internship and I found these guys.

MIP is a Full stack solutions company that powers the backend of major Insurance companies: Sanlam, Legalwise, Hollard, Talksure and many more. With an employment of about 500+ people, MIP is growing every year.

They require prospective candidates that are natural problem solvers - they conduct 3 tests to filter the prospects out. After which candidates are then slotted into a paid internship that lasts 3 months. If you are then good enough, you will be given a full time position at the company.

If you are interested, MIP Holdings | Leading Software Engineering Company in South Africa | Internship you can start the first test here. Please contact me if you do make it or have any questions. PS their offices are in Johannesburg or Cape Town but they do work remotely* however you will have to make your way to JHB for the internship for the first 2 Weeks (they will fund your accommodation and flights) However for the 3rd Test, It can only be done in Johannesburg (for now) and thus you will need to fund your own transport and accommodation for that (working with management to get them to potentially fund this back if you make it).

*Update - for the 6 months of the internship (3 months during and 3 months after) you will have to come into either the Joburg or Cape Town office full-time.

***UPDATE - next internship class starts in April.
I’ve been waiting for the interview, I wrote my vzap assessment and got 80%. I wrote on the 31st, do you think they’ll call me for an interview?

Please note I will no longer reply to messages / comments about "It's been __ weeks, I haven't heard back yet" - There are limited positions available and hundreds of people write the tests... Obviously, the top get interviewed first, patience is a virtue... thanks for understanding :)
