Item: Full size custom build arcade

Constructed with supawood, fits through a standard doorway (just) so it's the "usual" full size.
Runs off full PC inside, with a case. Very basic GPU, but specifically one that can run a CRT monitor.
Screen is a "modified to fit" Sony Flatron 74cm CRT TV, one of the best CRT's you can find locally.
Sound is small sub in base (integrated) with stereo speakers up top, running off their own amplifier, goes plenty loud, decent quality.
Imported sticks and buttons.

It's running BigBox software on windows, with a skin that works with CRT. It can be converted to LCD by simply swopping the monitor and settings in the software. It functions 100%, if you convert to LCD it gains a lot of functionality. Depends whether you value retro highly or just want to have the ability to emulate all arcade and older console games as well.

What is not completed is just cosmetic:
The cabinet is matte black - meant to do vinyl graphics still.
The T-moulding strips for the edges I have, slot was cut with router, wanted to install after vinyl so it seats over the vinyl edge.
The marquee has a light + acrylic panel, needs it's own vinyl and final fixing.

After above the cabinet is complete. Depends on if you want graphics or not. If not just install T-moulding / fix marquee perspex panel and it's done.

Age: 2-3 years approx, no kids, so only occasionally used by myself
Price: R8500 R7500, it's a budget PC, wood, speakers, sub, amp, screen, buttons and joysticks, software (purchased, not sure if you can transfer that though), light, fans, T-moulding, aluminium strips, acrylic, power switch, cabling and A LOT of time / sundries. I remember 18k for the whole project, so asking less than 50% of build cost.
Payment Method Accepted: Cash / EFT
Warranty: No, but feel free to extensively come and test / inspect it. I don't mind coming by to just see if it's something you'd like to commit to.
Warranty Holder: N/A
Packaging: No, this thing is BIG and HEAVY. CRT monitor alone is heavy. Whole thing? 100kg maybe more.
Condition: As described above
Location: Stellenbosch
Reason: I have a 2nd one, went for modern LCD setup with light guns etc. Bowers&Wilkins speakers and higher end PC and geniune Sanwa joysticks, all PROPER parts. So enjoyed the true retro CRT alongside the modern LCD version for a few years, but I want to do a digital display full size pinball table next...
Shipping: No way. It'll be crazy expensive and even though it's very well constructed I would not trust a company. Collection only on this one.
Collection: The only option here
Link: I can supply pics etc, but rather come have a look in person

Here is the bartop I built (brother in law bought that one), the full size one would look similar when the vinyl etc is done, just with CRT)

Man, this sounds fantastic. Busy putting together a similar setup myself, just not in a cabinet, as I don't have the space.
Do you mind if I ask, what theme are you running on BigBox that looks good on CRT?
Is the whole system using CRT Emudriver to output to the CRT?

Hi, sorry for the late reply!

Ooo… its been a while. Cant remember, but when you google you’ll come across a forum where the harcore enthusiasts explain the whole process. There was only one Big Box skin that worked back then, think theres a few more now. And maybe even new software options to make CRT work…

Sorry I cant be of more help, been many years, but just follow the forum guides. Its extensive amd very detailed. Still, took forever to get it working properly.

But nothing beats the way the CRT looks. It’s not even close…

Damnnn If only u were in JHB
