Item: Apple Macbook pro
Age: 9 years?
Price: R3500
Warranty: none
Packaging: Original
Condition: Read below*
Location: Cape town
Reason: I'm sick in the head
Shipping: Yup
Collection: yes
Link: MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) - Technical Specifications
* Device has been thoroughly cleaned and a fresh macOS installed. Battery only has 373 cycles.
CTRL key doesn't register but it's hardly used on macOS.
Backlight has moods, once every 3 or 4 hours it'll go dim and then go back to normal. Once it throws its tantrum then it's a happy camper. I was told by apple smarties that the issue is due to missing screws on the pcb but i do not have the screws to replace nor do i like fiddling with macbooks
Update on this - I figured out that it's probably the ambient light sensor because if you disable automatic brightness then flickering stops and you just have to move the slider manually
