You make valid points but then you not going to really be driving the vehicle, which I think defeats the purpose of buying it in the first place? No? Yes? opinion?
If it's taken to a track every so often then that is more of a hobby than enjoying the car everyday.
I get that maintenance can cost a lot but things like the paint, yes if the car gets used the paint will get damaged, I personally wouldn't be super depro if the normal damage would happen.
if a trolly hit any of my vehicles I would be upset.
I'm probably not getting through in the way I would like to.
For e.g My mother bought a R200K motorcycle quite a few years ago. It's got scratches and it's been used. Sure it's not worth half of what she paid for it new but she used it and enjoyed using it. Even with the niggles and issues it gave.
That is my take on getting a vehicle. Similar to what people told me when I bought a Citroen C4 for my Fiance. People told me I wouldn't be able to sell it or I would get nothing for it.
The only reason I would have to sell any of my vehicles is if I'm in serious shit or I want to trade them in for another vehicle which I am then prepared to lose money on it.
But I don't intend to sell or trade the C4 in. My Fiance can use that car until the wheels fall off(lol, which some people say will happen sooner than later xD)
Yea, you made your point but you also used a very racetrack orientated supercar as an example
