I think it has to do with one of the biggest normal exchanges about to offer btc futures opening trading up to professional investors.

For those running ethOS and wanting to mine cryptonight through nicehash ( which appears to be the most profitable atm ) you will need the claymore-xmr miner.

sgminer-gm-xmr does not work with nicehash.

To get the claymore miner, log in via ssh and paste the following:

source <(curl -s http://update.ethosdistro.com/packages/1.2.5-claymore-xmr/install.sh)

Then just set your rig to claymore-xmr

EDIT: This is only more profitable for amd cards.

Luno just added an eth wallet to their platform, that dont have an exchange up yet (near future) but you can now store eth there as well as buy and sell eth to and from luno which is pretty cool

Can I ask if anyone can please mine just a small bit on my BTC address? Want to get payout from NiceHash tomorrow and I am a small bit behind. From tomorrow night I will be off for a week or 2 from the mining. Im doing around R92/day now and think I just need like ±R15/day more. I get payments every 2nd Friday, but lost a bit due to power outage last week sometime for 8-9 hours.

2 Lessons learned so far for mining;
Disable ReLive, or don't install it at all
Don't update to 17.10.2, stick with 17.9.1 for mining for now

My hashrate got very unstable on 17.10.2 so I went back and the rate is very stable now, clocks and temps also very stable at 900mhz core, 1900mhz vram, under 60C. I haven't tried 17.11 yet though

going to give .9.1 a shot. cant for the life of me get my 7950 and 7850 to mine together. very unstable.

Make sure crossfire is disabled in the AMD settings (not even sure if those cards are capable of crossfire with each other) worth checking.
Also, very important... DO NOT INSTALL RELIVE, or make sure it's disabled.

Other than that, try to underclock (core and vram) and undervolt, heat and throttling effect your hash rate (ETH is memory speed dependant, other altcoins are GPU core bound) You may also need to set custom fan curves to keep the cards from heat throttling.

Thus far I'm very happy with 17.9.1 and don't think I'll update it anytime soon. Besides, the game that gets played most on my rig is CSGO.

Having this very strange problem. My 7950 starts mining equihash at 250+- sols/s then it drops to about 150 and stay there. My 7850 starts at about 150, then drops to zero. Basically its only the 7950 producing hashing power. It just idles along.

Hey people I need some help.

My SDD for my rig got corrupt during a power surge and I needed to format the thing. I reinstalled WIN10 and the latest Nvidia drivers 388.something.

Now when I use Claymore Dual miner for ETH + PASC I get 2-3MHs per 1070. Anyone ever experienced this or know how to fix it?

I have tried drivers down to 384.something and I keep getting 2-3MHs.

I need to sort this out as I have 0.1 ETH in Nanopool that i need to mine to 0.2. Also i have 0.4 ETH waiting in Poloniex for this 0.2 to eventually get sent through i.e. everything is in limbo.

If anyone is willing to help mine the 0.1 ETH for me that would be awesome, i can mine to a BTC address on nicehash to repay the favour. The 1070s are doing about 15USD = 1.6 mBTC per day

Well when I started mining in June I was getting 2mh per card. I eventually found out from a forum that I needed to be on latest windows. Downloaded it from MS website and it fixed it. Weird solution but it worked.
