Re: How do I start mining??? Noob requires help...

Every Tuesday at about noon for balances over 0.01BTC.
I thought they were changing to daily payouts?

Nah man think it should be fine, have never played with a 1050Ti but I don't think you'll be disappointed

Just went back to check what a 970 should do according to the Nicehash profitability calculator, and it says about 0.0012BTC per day which is in the R40 region. How are you doing so little?? What am I missing here?

Only if paying to a nicehash wallet. Sting you when you then withdraw to your own wallet

Does anything between 0.9mBTC and 1.1mBTC as far as I can remember, but NiceHash calculates it as anything from R23 - R27. In the spike it did manage R45

Ahhhhh ha. Nicehash's ZAR per day is a little wonky as of late and doesn't calculate correctly. Your per day BTC makes sense though and if you calculate how much ZAR that is, at current BTC trade prices, you will be in the R30 region. So I think I am correct in my calculations of the 1050ti which should do about 0.65-0.7 mBTC per day which equates to the R20 region per day.

Only if your wallet is with Nicehash and your balance is above 0.001BTC then its daily.

External wallet payments stay the same. Once per week for balances greater than 0.01BTC and once per day for balances greater than 0.1BTC.

No more once per month payments for balances LESS than 0.01BTC

Re: How do I start mining??? Noob requires help...

So I'll have to wait until I have 0.01BTC for them to pay anything out? :/

Yeah, but shouldn't take too long too accumulate. What are you mining with?

7970. Should be around halfway to 0.01 BTC easy now, so I'll just wait it out and then move to the MinerGate mining I want to try.

Does someone know of a good wallet that doesn't charge a fortune I can use to store more than one cryptocurrency or are the mostly on a wallet-per-currency basis? Luno operates on BTC, other one on ETH, another on ETC, etc.?

Minergate is pretty useless for GPU mining. Ok for CPU though...
Hope this saves you some time

Ah, that helps yeah thanks! What would you suggest I use if I want to stop selling hashing power over NiceHash only and start mining ETH/ETC straight?

Re: How do I start mining??? Noob requires help...

Anyone ever thought about the cheap good old fashioned way.... Get a shovel and dig.

claymore or ETHOS. I still want to test ETHOS

Re: How do I start mining??? Noob requires help...

ethOS is the Linux OS, right? That's a paid-for OS, it's not free, so I doubt I'll play with that. I think I'll aim for Claymore miner then. It's a name that keep popping up when I Google mining and AMD together a lot, so it must probably work?

Claymore is cool I tried them, easy enough to setup

Jaxx, it stores btc, eth, zec, etc. I still prefer luno over jaxx for BTC, as its local(semi local). Jaxx also offers shape shift(change currencies without other website)

That sounds cool, yeah. I want to use the micro-BTC amount I have now and get ETH with it, store that and mine for more.

Lotus-JPS Nimz or any other guys doing 6 card AMD rigs, what drivers are you using to run the cards and how stable is your mining?

Re: How do I start mining??? Noob requires help...

what do you guys do with the funds you get from mining?
do you keep it as bitcoins, transfer to rands, transfer to your bank account, convert to other currencies?

Seriously though, I'm buying eth with it from here on, hopefully has a good spike and can make a profit on it.

I'll be trying that in the next 2 weeks, hopefully I'll have my equipment then, as I'm basically doing it to learn as much as I can with my gtx 970

Morning Maverick

I am Running old 16.4 (Something Drivers) mostly to avoid the signature issue (BIOS Mod) with the newer drivers

I have had very little issues , I once had the rig hard freeze and once had the power trip (Not Sure if it was one of the rigs) but other then that hop into the rigs via Team Viewer at work to check temp sometimes
