3k for retina display and 2gb ram tablet , awesome price!

Would love to see some reviews of the 10" with the retina display!

The reviews for their first batch of tablets (pre Android 4.0.4) were less than flattering!

Reviews should be out shortly, look out on Youtube for Dealsprime, will post if I see any. Take a look at reviews on the Fire (later reviews), Hero and Hero II (their first quad-core) as well.

Having used one of their previous products, their current line up has come a very long way. Been selling the NOVO7 Legend's and that has been a very solid consistent unit, although is lower-end.

Very interesting indeed!!

I've not done a lot of research but did read that the first 7" had many issues (with 1 review even saying its nowhere near ready for market).

What are they like with the regularity of their OS updates?

Does 1 have full access to the Play store etc?

As I said above, stick to reviews for the more recent models - Fire, Hero, Hero II, Crystal etc. Their first 7" was a rushed to be the first Android 4.0 tablet.

On their more popular models it seems to be 2-3 updates in the space of 2-3 months - they're rolling out 4.1 Jelly Bean updates to their previous line.

Google Play Store is pre-installed and the hardware support is pretty good (they don't use MIPS anymore) - the GC1000 GPU on the Venus and Hero II may leave the game support a little lacking though. The Spark should have no problem though - SGX was used on the SII and a few other phones/tablets.

Stock of both will be arriving in the first week of February, you Cape Town guys will be welcome to come take a peek when they arrive :D

I definitely want to come have a look! Do they come with the covers like in the pics?

What covers, I'm sure that's just their body finish :)

I'll be sure to be bringing in accessories, screen protectors and cases/covers. It also looks like the Spark will fit most iPad accessories ;)

Flip... this is going to sell like proverbial hotcakes. Those prices!

Lol, I think I was still waking up this morning! I will come check the out for sure. Maybe post a little review?

The Nova9 Spark is essentially a direct copy of the iPad 4 in almost every single way (which is a good thing).
According to their website they'll start shipping from the 20th of January, so I guess we'll have to wait until then for a proper review.

Do you have anything in the 5" range?

Big update:

I posted a reply this morning, but it didn't come through. I'm finalizing the order tonight and stock will land this side in about the 28 Jan to first week of February. Stock is going to be tight unless you want to start sending me money for pre-orders :p

Willing to bet I'm going to have enough stock :/ I've only got soooo much money to drop into the order.

I will definitely :D

Senshi: Ainol don't make anything in that range, but I'm gonna have a look and see what I can find :) Will drop you a PM if do.

Just a heads up it looks like the screen resolution is 2048x1536 which is identical to iPad3/4. I think you've got it as 2548. :)

Here's a video review of the Novo9.

Been really with varsity stuff - the tablets have been ordered, the Spark was just made available the other day and has been shipped, expecting delivery late next week or Monday the 4th.

With regards to the review - just remember that the screen resolution is almost double that of the Flytouch unit they are referring to.

Yes please excuse the reviewer for not knowing what he is talking about in the video, like calling the front camera a power light.

Yeah the reviewer was poor for sure, not exactly clued up on his tech... What about build quality? Tech specs? pretty poor review.

I'm concerned by the GPU though, just watching him browse through the O/S the tablet seemed pretty laggy, I am not sure the GPU can handle that resolution!!

The Hero II Quad-Core also had a laggy UI - their Jelly Bean firmware needs some work.

Dealsprime usually do very good reviews, so have a look for that.

Things haven't really been working out at all it seems :( So bad news, the NOVO9's will not land until later this month after Chinese New Year due to supply issues.

However the NOVO7 Venus is on schedule for next week, along with some NOVO7 Crystal's at a really really nice price:
