I'm finally making the move to a Mac and I'm absolutely scared.

Long story short, I asked work for a RAM upgrade and they're allocating a Mac to me instead.
I've been on Windows for the majority of my life, and have been driving Linux from time to time (currently using Ubuntu).

Are there guides/suggestions for a new user making the move to an M1 Mac? Particularly productivity apps.

I sub to Setapp - a single paid service to get access to many productivity apps.

You can get a taste of the good, paid Mac alternatives on Setapp then look for a free or better alternative of your choice on the Mac App Store or on open web.

Install HomeBrew package manager to get some of your fav stuff on the mac side.

Seriously, despite what the average Windows user(?) might think about the Apple ecosystem being “locked down”, nothing could be further from the truth on macOS. Deep, deep system level integration with productivity and automation applications, that make workflows sing.

Keyboard Maestro. BetterTouchTool. Alfred. Hazel. TextExpander.
