ADATA isn’t new to storage and as we saw with the last GAMMIX S11 SSD, can produce some worthwhile storage solutions. As with all things though, if you’re not partial to such drives, be it because of the visuals or something else, there’s an alternative in the SX8200 Pro which for all intents and purposes is near identical to the Gammix S11 Pro. What this drive offers over the Gammix I’m not entirely sure, but even if it’s nothing, it still means great performance at a reasonable price. The SX8200 Pro features a 5-year warranty and/or a total of 320TBW, an SLC cache and peak read performance of up to 3,5GB/s. What’s not to like about that?
I have this exact drive and it's awesome. It gets a bit hot, but I suspect that is partly because on my mobo the M.2 slot is literally underneath the GPU
The drive has a useless heatsink, so best to use the one on the motherboard if you have one. Or at the very least get some air over it. Outside of this, its great value for money or at least in the US it is. Hard to beat 512GB for $85
