Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone can help - I have a very small and minimal single screen PC set up at home that I game with, I have limited desk space but I like it, it provides everything I need.

BUT, I've started playing a game recently where I would really like to see my friends discord screen share at all times, and was wondering if there's a small screen, that I could maybe even have to the bottom of my screen on like a DIY stand that I could set up and just have his screenshare on?

If anyone knows something that could work please let me know. Preferably not expensive then I might as well buy a little 22" screen for R1500.

Just buy a proper second monitor. A small screen will be low res. or it will be high res and therefore tiny and you won't see anything properly. Just get yourself a cheap 22/24" that's usable for other things too. If space is an issue, get a monitor stand for the two monitors, should free up some space.

Otherwise just have his Discord open on your phone or a tablet.

But also just get a second screen.

where you based , got a dell 21.5 in perfect condition that I' intending to put up for les than what you initially say

I actually think I might have a samsung tablet I got free like 2 years ago somewhere in my house

I Googled now and think there might be a way to have it work as a monitor with an app and a cable. Thanks dude!
I had this setup at one stage. Didn't work long term, but what I suggest is to make another Discord account, join via the official Discord app, and then watch their streams that way. I found using the tablet as a 2nd Windows screen rather clunky. The only thing I am not sure of - is if you can watch multiple streams a the same time via the Discord app, compared to desktop where there is no limit.

For what it's worth i just tested using spacedesk with my samung phone and windows pc and it worked flawlessly over wifi. Only the smallest of delays. I'd give it a go before buying something

@BlueCrayon i did some more testing with spacedesk.

Over wifi it works fine for browsing etc but when i went into a game of league (main monitor) and had a single tab open on firefox on the phone things went wonky and i disconnected from league and the screen disconnected and it complained about high bandwidth something something.

Bare in mind i did have the quality cranked and set to highest resolution.

So then i tried the cable method (this appears to be only available on android and not ios) and well what a difference.

Even less lag, and i could play league and have multiple tabs open on the phone monitor without any problems.

I'm using a spare phone now and tbh think ima keep this setup for a while and see how it goes as it's nice to have like discord and a browser on my teeny tiny phone screen just under my monitor.

TLDR, use a cable not wireless. This also keeps the phone / tablet charged so it's something i can live with

I ended up not using this if you are interested.

I also want a tablet :(

The 6.4 inch 1080 x 2340 A30 is a bit too teeny tiny for my eyes to read anything comfortably lol.

Also, as a bonus, I discovered the touch works, as in I can touch my start button to open it, which is neat.

So I used spacedesk, which was super easy to use, took like 30 seconds to get up and running, and it worked perfectly on my samsung tablet!

Thanks guys, however it is a little small so I am leaning towards a screen, I think I'll have to first make some changes to my setup and move some plants out [ Don't judge I love plants , they bring me peace ]

Smallest probably neatest you could possibly do is get a laptop screen, and buy the board from ebay. Your mounting space would be minimal and you could have a beautiful setup. Effort wise, just buy a small 17" lcd and be done. I believe i may have an 17" monitor in garage somewhere
