What pellet gun do you have bud ?

Yup, important question that as it can either expand your mount/scope options ( with pcp or sub-12fpe springers ) or it can limit them ( like with "1000fps" springers).

A scope on a pellet gun....my Grandfather is turning in his grave now 🙈 Open sights pal...open sights!!!

But seriously, pellet guns have changed alot....1300fps....faaaaarkin hel!

Post a pic when you do get the right scope once it is mounted ;)

Yea[emoji28] that's what I suggested aswell. This pellet gun is so damn accurate and powerful [emoji33] definitely going to need a scope for them long distance headshots [emoji28]

Head shots....dude, I saw the other day a clip where the guy, a SA oke, hit a target 3.2 KM's away.....wtf!!! (I don't know how true it is, but it looked legit.)
I don't suppose you are going for that kind of distance? ;) You might need a star gazing telescope!!!

Weirdly enough i tested one at the range with a meter, with an upgraded spring and pba pellets i hit just under 1200 fps so 1300 is possible with a better spring and better ammo
Actually, advertised speeds are done with worse ammo....very light weight ammo which has rubbish accuracy at those velocities.

@Smeagol : Please note that whatever scope you get, that it is springer-rated and that you get proper springer-recommended mounts for it , as the double recoil action of springers, even more so with "1000fps" springers, is murder on scopes

Will do, thx allot for that information [emoji111]

1,300FPS will severely upset your neighbours. It's supersonic, and nothing will remove the sonic crack. You'll have the cops on your ass in no time :D

Yea tbh i would suggest picking up a decent scope made for a .22 from a gun shop
This.

BSA, Gamo, Nikko Sterling, Hawke and others make scopes specifically for pellet guns. You pay what you get though. If you want to shoot fine, look into decent parallax adjustment on the scope and a fine reticle.

No. Many fall for this in the beginning. Their parallax is usually wrong for airguns and if they're zooms, their minimum focus isn't close enough....and then there's the recoil issue, which entry level .22 scopes cannot handle.

The recoil is not because how the price on the scope. It's because of HOW the spring gun recoils. A rifle recoils back, because of how the rifle fires the bullet. A spring gun recoils back as the spring moves forward, but then also recoils forward again because of how the spring slams against the front of the chamber. That's what breaks a scope.

True, I was referring too those horrible scopes with wire reticules
