I've been running my Yaris on 95 since I bought it but I know the motor's tune holds it back because of the fact that we only get 95 RON at the pumps in SA. I know some guys get 98 or 102 RON from private suppliers at hefty prices but I remember seeing in the past that a few petrol stations offer 98 from their pumps. I remember one being in Pretoria somewhere.
I'm not keen on buying 98 to store at home and I don't think my insurer would cover fuel storage in the garage. If I have to, I will, though. I'll just have to do smaller batches which get dispensed into the car as soon as they're delivered - R850 for 20L at a time.
Anybody know where I can get 98 RON from a station in Gauteng (preferably Joburg and surrounds) somewhere?
