Item Wanted:
Small(er) form factor mechanical keyboard. I've got a full size board, need a smaller one. Preference to a 60% / 65% but will consider tenkeyless. Bonus if it's white but not a deal breaker as I can spray it. Anne Pro / Anne Pro II would be ideal but doubt I'll get one for my price range. Open to "off brand" boards as I'm not a brand hog, as long as the build quality is solid and it's got mechanical keys, I'll consider it. RGB backlighting also a bonus but not a deal breaker. Will consider single colour LED, no backlighting is unfortunately a deal breaker. Also after quieter keys like browns. Like browns for their quieter tactile feedback, but will consider anything as long as it's not clicky. If it'll potentially annoy someone in an office environment, I don't want it.

In summary

Small form factor
Some kind of backlighting
Quiet / non clicky keys

Packaging Essential: Would be nice but not essential

Desired Age: As long as it works, any. If it doesn't work, maybe we can work something out. Pm me.

Location: Eastrand / Pretoria East

Willing to accept a shipped item: Preferably not, but if board + shipping = in my budget, perhaps. Let's chat.

Ballpark/Budget Amount: Let's go 26th R500 - R600 for now and see what you all have.

Even if you've got something that may not 100% meet my wants, drop me a pm anyway and I'll consider it.

Really not super fussy here guys, I'm a reasonable guy that'll honestly consider whatever you might have to offer. Peace ✌

@TriNitro4 bud I'm tagging you here in case you still have that Anne Pro with the issue and wanna get rid of her 😅 if not, just tell me to take a hike

If you are willing to take a R700 chance, I did...

Gamdias Hermes M3 RGB Mechanical Keyboard - LP Brown Switches

Little Gamdias Hermes M3 review (Brown Switches).

Have this exact keyboard with Brown switches... And not buying the Ducky TKL I was planning, anymore. My needs have been met.

Is there very slight ping noise when typing if you listen for it? Sure. Do I actually notice enough to care? Nope.

Stabilisers on spacebar/enter/backspace are excellent (reason why I wanted to change from Logitech G Pro TKL, also a keyboard I liked).

Low profile (Switches and board), wonderful feeling switches, just as quiet as one of my previous membranes, with very nice RGB. Wish I could have my work buy me this keyboard.

Minimalist design suits me perfectly. More space on desk.

Exactly what I wanted. Will buy again. (Paid about $60, R800 from Takealot, delivered).

Also, if you are a parent wanting to buy a cool keyboard for your teenager, that won't make you commit murder because of the noise, or break the bank? This is it. (With Brown switches, not blue loud ones!)

Disclaimer: all my PC parts are value for money parts. This fits that philosophy perfectly. If I have more money one day, I will buy a Ducky/Durgod or complete custom TKL, with Holy Pandas. For now, I have something to still dream about.

Awesome mini review bud. Will definitely check it out. I've actually got the hermes p1, and aside from size, am perfectly happy with it, so not afraid to give the gamdias name another go. Thanks for the suggestion.

Out of interest sake, how is the board put together? For eg, on my p1, it's got the top cover, with keys sticking through and then soldered to pcb, meaning keys are "stuck" between cover and pcb, making spraying it challenging. Same thing with the m3?

Ps. +1 for the value for money thing. If a part serves my needs at a reasonable price, i don't see the need to pay twice or 3 times as much for the name brand equivalent.

Cheers mate

Edit - assuming low profile keys means a standard keycap set won't work? Thought It's best to ask someone that actually owns one haha

just put in my order for O rings and pudding keycaps :)
Can you link the me the pudding caps on banggood please?

I prefer banggood as I've used them before and know the sa direct tax free is super quick, got my o rings in 12 days i think it was including weekend.

Had a look for the pudding caps but couldn't find them
