[PIF] 4x Broken ~2011 Macbook Pros.

Hi all,

I have a few decommissioned ~2011 Macbook Pro's, with various issues. 3 x 15" and 1 x 17".
I'm 100% confident someone can Frankenstein a working macbook or two out of these. One of the 15" has a graphics card issue, the other two 15" had their GPUs replaced under Apple recall quite a few years back. The 17" should still be good, there was a cock-up with the screen connector, and we never bothered to have it fixed after that.

NOTE: These DO NOT come with battery, disks, ram, or chargers.

I am estimating the value of the PIF at R1000.00 at the moment, considering how many parts there are in the lot that can be stripped and sold. Screens, keyboards, trackpads, disk readers, fans etc. If you get a lot more value out of it, please respect the spirit of PIF and pay your dues accordingly.

This should be lekker fun for anyone who likes to tinker.

@PilotDrake1 If you do not end up fixing the 17", I would love to get some spares for my laptop (daily driver).
One speaker is blown and the PCMCIA slot (with battery indicator board) is also blown.

Howsit gents,

As on my original PIF, everything is going together. Therefore everything is going to PilotDrake1. Once he receives his goodies, I will update the thread. I am confident he will be more than happy to share parts once his lappy is sorted.

I really do not mind if the 'bundle' makes the rounds to get everyone's Macbooks back up and running. I believe it is also in the spirit of the PIF section. Strip the part you want, send the rest to the next guy. However, it is now completely in Pilot's hands and what he wants to do with the parts and how he wants to handle his return PIF once he receives them.
