Looking to help give my mothers laptop a small boost, she is struggling to work on her i5 with 4GB ram being used at 88% load.
Her HDD is a 5400 rpm and the 32GB Msata seemingly cant be used to install windows on

Depending on the machine, you should be able to use a 1600 and a 1333 stick together, the 1600 stick will clock to the slower one. Just make sure the RAM is compatible with the machine in question.
