This is a transformer based inverter, meaning it uses a large transformer to step down / step up voltages. These inverters are generally more suited to inductive loads, and they also tend to be more resilient than your general transformer-less inverters.

Condition:

Do you perhaps have a make and model? I'm assuming this is 24v right?

It appears to be a no-name brand inverter. It has 24VDC input for your batteries, non-adjustable charging voltage of 27.6VDC and selectable charging amperage of 20A or 40A.
