Hey guys.

I want to have a small custom mod done for my personal pc. I am however a pepeg when it comes to making the design in software.

Is there someone that can assist with it? I'll be printing it through someone on carb.

The design itself is an enclosure that is hollow inside with my username written on it (by written i mean it should also be hollowed-out letters inside the enclosure)

It doesn't have to be free, let me know what your fee is for this.

Regards,

@eY_b0ss do you perhaps have a pic?
sounds quite simple so I should be able to do it in sketchup for you
let me know if you haven't come right and we'll sort something out

I can also do this quite easily for free, i get to practice my inventor skills xD its quite easy really, emboss and extrusions from the sounds of it.
show us a sketch,

Thanks @disipher ! I'll try to post a hand drawn sketch with measurements.

Unfortunately my motherboard pegged this afternoon, so either Wootware rma or Patrick will fix it before i can do a proper sketch. Will post it later tonight!

@disipher @brakpanpolisie

Sorry for the long silence, my pc is actually at PCTechies atm, for a damage report to replace the motherboard.

Not sure if this is accurate enough. It's the front view + side view. Whole thing must be hollow, so that I can insert some rgb diffuser (was thinking sanding Perspex with very fine sanding paper) along with small rgb strip. To make more sense of it, it will be mounted on a thermaltake tower 100, over the existing TT logo.

Thank you for the assistance!

I think that is exactly what i want yes. Thank you @PandaAttack1 ! The whole thing is hollow? With top also being open to insert rgb etc inside?
Oh I have no idea, just wanted to make sure what you want?

jk jk, hollowing out now. Is 2.4mm walls good for your friend's 3D printer? Should be if he uses .4 nozzle.

Gonna use @ARKSEZA from carb to print it via his website tool. So not sure about your questions xD. I'm sorry I'm new to 3d printing in general.

No worries! If you design for 3D print, it is a good idea to keep in mind what will be used to print.

For example, if a nozzle has a .4mm width, it is really difficult to print something of 10mm. But if you make it 8mm or 12mm, the software that calculates the nozzle's path has a much easier time. Since it's 2 or 3 'tracks' to follow.

Let us know the pricing you get on that. Should be quite a rough one I think.

First version done, the idea is 90% there :D/, thank you all for assisting me, especially @PandaAttack1 for all the effort, even delivering it to my door.

Next up is a little different design to block all excess light bleed off, and better diffuser to even out the light, oh and rgb to have it in pink :D.

edit: it's currently being held in place with presstick, as soon as I'm happy with final version it will be installed properly, and perfectly aligned.
