I had someone buy a i3 from me, called me said it does not work. Told him bring it back I will give him his money back after I test it. Magically the CPU had turned into a socket 775 1,8ghz single core Celeron or something. I told him about something about a lake and diving.

Hahaha thx guys. Sigh...I knew I was going to get some flak ;-)

My z77 will not allow a bios update . this is stopping the sandy to ivy leap. I have an A and B bios but A is blown even after an attempt at reflashing both at once it still did not work. Mobo out of warranty...

So I'm going to stick to running my sandy 2700k

Trust me, I nearly pulled my hair out...the CPU works on EVERY other board except mine....

I think its a P67... If its Z77 it must work

Trust me, its z77, it has two bios'. First one is faulty and if selected, is stuck in a boot loop.
Second bios allows flashing to different updates but will not allow the PC to boot. It does not even reach BIOS in its startup sequence, just gives and error code of faulty CPU.
But as I say, it works in every other mono except mine...makes me crazy because I am computer literate and logically literate ;-)

Boot loops are shit! I have one on P67 Gigabyte Mobo which is basically unrepairable unless you physically replace the bios with a new chip.
