I saw the Acer advertised on Wootware however it has Freesync and I am running Nvidia - 980Ti so would like to look at something with G-Sync.

I have that suspicion, yes. I see you are running the XB270HU with your 980TI's. Any issues running at 144hz?

Most (not all) games reach the gsync cap. It's beautiful though.
