Item: 2 x 2011-era 27" Apple iMacs, each upgraded with 16GB of RAM. 2.7GHz Intel i5, AMD Radeon 6770M.
Age: ~5 years
Price: R10K for the lot, or R7K each
Warranty: Nope
Packaging: Nope
Condition:
The first iMac: Great overall condition. It has the original 1TB spinning HDD.
The second iMac: The internal microphone doesn't work. In addition, the HDD was replaced with a 250GB Crucial SSD, but without the fan controller. Meaning there can be a significant amount of fan noise at sporadic times, but this can be eliminated using a simple (free) software utility. Other than that, the machine works like a charm.
Both computers were used until very recently by our graphic designers, running Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Location: Southern Suburbs, Cape Town
Reason: Replacement with newer models, ones more capable of handling video work.
Shipping: Nope!
Collection: Claremont, Cape Town.
Note:
I would consider these machines suitable for someone needing large displays in the Apple ecosystem, but without significantly demanding work. They're great for graphic applications, but will struggle with (for instance) games and 4K video footage. And they rock as internet browsing/email machines. They both have completely fresh installs of macOS El Capitan, ready for new users. As these computers are now fairly old, I would highly recommend this purchase for technical enthusiasts/tinkerers only, or for those looking for spare parts
Included: The power cables and the computers. No keyboard, mice, etc.
