I have a Z690 Unify-X with 12900kf and am considering the GSkill 7200 CL34 kit

Will it work at XMP?

12900KF IMCs are kinda poop. It really depends. Definitely get the newest BIOS if you want to try. It's the beta A91 something rev.

Thanks, I'm running a 6000 CL36 kit so don't 'need' to upgrade but I do have an itch.

Is there a test I can run to check my imc quality? Maybe it's decent, maybe not

Strange thing happened. My 6000 cl36 kit died today, one module is not recognized in the bios. Swapped them around and it's not the slot.

This is the 2nd module that's died of the same kit. This kit is already an rma.

1st died in a Gigabyte z690 Aorus ultra ITX, now in a z690 Unify-X.

Bizarre

There's no way my CPU can be murdering memory, right?

Maybe... maybe not. Do you have any idea what your vddq and vdd were setting to on the ram?

Received this kit today, dropped it in, set XMP and it's running perfectly

Whatever you do, do not touch this kit. It's toilet. The F5-6000j3636f16ga2-tz5rk variant has given me endless issues
