Item Wanted: 1200w psu
Packaging Essential:preferred, but if warranty is supported without original box then not a big issue

Desired Age: Newer is better, definitely not older than 2 years, unless its a recent RMA unit. Needs 3y warranty.
Location: Durban/Cowies Hill
Willing to accept a shipped item: Sure
Ballpark/Budget Amount: Up to price of new, depending on age. So lets say R1.5k-R3k depending on whats on offer

I have a few here, do they have to have at least three years warranty remaining?

@OjO Erm, well I suppose I can do with say 1-2y? Really depends on the quality they start off with, but open to all suggestions/offers.

Essentially I'm going to be pulling 6x 280x's from it combined with a new 1000w Coolermaster Vanguard. So just need a high quality PSU, that can deliver close to its w rating. Obviously the older they are, the more they will have degraded.

6x 280's pull roughly 1800w of power, perhaps close to 2000w, and the base system pulls another 93w.

So its quite tight. Going to be running off 1 motherboard, so the PSU's will be linked together, and probably pull 3x from the vanguard, and 3x + base system off the 1200w psu.

Well I have an old Antec Quattro 1200w which is a few years old but only been used a few times (I prefer the silence of my current PSU), there are a few videos of them pushing 1800w or more (pushing DC, not pulling AC - ~2200w measured from the wall) so you could probably come close to powering the entire system from it. I also have a Corsair AX1200, but it doesn't have any warranty at all. Again, hardly been used, once you've seen the quality of the Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro range it's hard using anything else. They've both got less than about 1000 hours of use so they're good as new, but we all know that electronic components can fail at any time. I can guess exactly what you're going to be doing with the rig, and downtime means a lack of income - it's up to you if you're willing to risk it? If you're keen, PM me an offer.
