Thanks for your responses. It looks like this is the case with UPS but not he lithium battery bank which uses pure sinewave. This issue with the amp occurs on both the lithium battery and the UPS.

I've connected my EcoFlow River to my EcoFlow Delta using a DC 48v 5a power supply. This in theory should charge the EcoFlow Delta at 250w. The EcoFlow Delta manual indicates it supports the following DC input:
