What about picking up a 1070ti / 1080 OC now for around 5.5k while upgrading the cpu/mobo/ram to current gen? Then wait for the next gen GPU's to come out and pick up a 6600 xt equivalent in 1-2 years time?

PCI-E 4.0 though? Current mobo only supports 3.0.. Looking to do either the GPU now, and the rest later, or vice versa.
