Yes I read about the RGB control. Is there an option in the software to turn it off when you start a game? I'll probably only have it on while idle and browsing.

Yeah I get you. My thing is, I value reliability over performance. In this case though the thought of paying R1000 more to get a Ti is very tempting. So far the Palit reviews I've checked are good, and they come with a 3 year warranty.

I've always been more comfortable with known brands. I've owned an Inno3D before which was very good and a Gainward 970 GTX which was also very good.
