Geat shot! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed my set. I'm positive you will be happy with your purchase.
i like the studio sounds the AKG gives me, sounds are crisp and clear, no bullshit :). im sure will like these as they are studio headphones as well. all i need to do now is start collection flak music :p.

flak sounds so rough dude. Flac... A rounded C at the end. :p

AKG is flat flat flat compared to the DTs. But you shall see why I would rate them better once you receive them. ;)

TOOL! \m/

Netless me has to make do with playing what I had downloaded before and will work offline.

I just started playing FF13 and got to Chapter 4 and holy heck does the stage music creep me out for some reason. It's like a bassy arabian thing with occasional howling or ululating (actually I'm not sure just WHAT that sound is) interposed here and there.

I'll have to make sure to load an old save when I get my AKG to see whether it sounds any different and less or more creepy.

Beethoven's 5th, 6th and 8th. In that order.
:p

As far as i know. Adding sound deadening to the cups.

Should make the bass hit tighter due toless resonance i believe. Similar princple in car audio.

I read about this. On a overseas site that u can buy them already modded from uk.

The bass was very meddling and all over the place when I demo'd a set. Guess that would make it more controlled? If that is the case, I would definitely look at doing it if I owned a pair already.

What are you thinking amp wise for the 800?
Ok so I ventured to ask the question to the powers that be. The news is good. The R2R-11 is fine to start. The 800/800S scales nicely as you upgrade gear. So no DAC/amp upgrade incoming when I pull the trigger (needless to say, I still consider the R2R-11 to be one of the greatest purchases I have made to date).

So old faithful came out today, because the ladies at the office never stopped yapping. I forgot how much I enjoy this set, listened to The Wall over and over

Excelent! I will have to look into this myself then...
