Do you think that others didn't play the race card in the apartheid era to defeat apartheid? How much chaos was not caused before apartheid was abolished? It was necessary for change to occur and I can guarantee it did not go smoothly. Sometimes the most difficult and gruesome of tasks is standing up for what is right. The truth is that you don't want this discussed because you don't want your own flaws to be highlighted. Because you don't want to acknowledge that racism against white people exist. Get off your high horse man.

The behavior required to change and bring this nation together is to make people take responsibility for their own actions (in a legal and nonviolent manner). Why do we have to attach a colour to the poor and impoverished? I agree they're the ones that need help but we shouldn't select them based on colour, we should select them according to ability to survive regardless of what colour they may be.

Black kid fails 2 or 3 subjects wrote of his dad new car that was just 3months old but gets full bursary ..........

Explain to me how was apartheid any different from BEE in its ideals? Both favor one race over another. Both give the one opportunities and deny the other similar opportunities. Draw the comparison yourself. Things are not as bad now as they were in apartheid years but why should we wait for things to get to the appalling state apartheid was before we inspire change?

after all this the big thing should be we are all carbonites ,we should put differences aside and rather focus on similarities. you are maybe whatever color ,whatever culture ,whatever faith or sports fan .But on similarity we love electronics so do we focus on what divide us outside of carbonite or enjoy together ?

Bee is our governments arm forcing the private sector to do what the private sector has failed to do for many years. AGAIN I will say it is a flawed system and merit trumps race anyday! But fact remains without a constructive solution nothing will change.

No where did I say I Agree with BEE .

And apartheid and BEE are vastly different the theory and application of BEE is a consequence of the former and will be treated as such .

You don't fully understand or appreciate the complexity of what was done to black people that is why you can throw around the comparison of a genocide to a equality blip on the larger picture of our timeline.

You are out of your depth and I suggest you become more learned and take your time to really feel the pain of our past maybe then you will be more humble in your outlook .

Yea sure, but this is the smack talk thread and as a South African community it is important to discuss these topics. These discussions help create awareness and spawn discussions in other communities. Despite what a lot of people think. Closing this thread is cowardice.

You fight for jobs black impoverished people fight for food electricity water a roof over there heads and minimal paying JOBS. Life in this country is not fair to ALL and your struggle is not more important than anyone else's .
