Not 100% sure if this is the right place to *ask* for a review but I'd really appreciate it if someone who daily drives a wootbook to run me down on the pros and cons that stand out to you. Specially regarding build quality, your experience and thoughts on the screen, and thermals.

I'm currently in the market for a gaming laptop and the wootbooks have me very intrigued :D Thanks in advance!

I am by no means a professional reviewer but I am running a Wootbook as my daily driver. I use it for video editing and gaming and I am very happy indeed with my purchase. I have the 13700HX with an RTX 4070. IMHO you cant go wrong at the price and the service you get from Wootware.

Build quality is excellent, the screen is fast with good enough colour for video work, battery life is pretty good and thermals are decent. If you are considering an Intel 13th gen Wootbook you can get more thorough reviews by watching reviews for the Schenker XMG Neo 16. and also Medion, Uniwill or Eluctroniks. These are all pretty much the same laptop except that the Wootbook doesnt have the watercooling option. The laptop is manufactured by a company called Tong Fang. These companies and Wootware then put their own branding on it.

The 13900 HX / RTX 4070 model for instance, is the fastest RTX 4070 laptop according to testing by Notebookcheck 3 fastest RTX 4070 laptops as of mid-2023

There are quite a lot of reviews if you Google.

Hope this helps.

I purchased a Wootbook Ultra x16 last week, and I am awaiting delivery in the next few days. My research into this specific notebook brand (Tongfang - 16" GM6PX**) goes back to May - spent about 4 months researching the build quality, keyboard, graphics, SSD's & RAM as well as drivers. I realize there are some things folks complain about, however I believe I can deal with it, versus having a similar brand notebook costing R90,000+
I am installing my own selection of RAM, SSD's and OS. The notebook is meant to be used as a "mobile workstation slash trade platform" to remote network with a desktop server. The tensor cores for neural calculations and the CPU is the most important when I am mobile.

Would anyone be interested in a 'non-YouTube' review, with pics of unboxing, etc.? Any specific benchmarks, WHQL drivers, or other points of interest? I might add a vinyl sticker on the screen lid and keyboard dash once I can decide on the theme.

EDIT:
Received my Ultra x16 today.
