Is there a better alternative to Truecaller on iOS in South Africa?

Not sure if this is the correct sub for this - please let me know if I should move it.

Truecaller used to work well when I had an Android phone in the past, but ever since I switched to an iphone a few years ago it's gotten worse and worse. Now it doesn't screen callers automatically (which defeats the whole purpose), and when i manually search numbers I have to watch an ad before being able to see the caller info.

Does anyone have experience with alternatives to Truecaller that work well in for iphones in ZA?

Do you have the Truecaller contact in your contacts? AFAIK that’s the workaround for Truecaller not being able to overlay properly.

Unfortunately screening won’t work though, this just displays known spam to an extent.

The screening requires an overlay which is not supported, and it’s not feasible to add all Truecaller users into your contacts.

My advice: Be a man, ignore the call out of fear.
