Also rumours of interest in Lavia from Southampton now that they are relegated. He would be a good long term option to replace Fabinho - still young and a huge potential to become even better.

All we need is now decent defender to add more competition at the back.

Feels a bit like the klopp era before fabinho and van dijk. A lot of attacking flare but also not as good defensively.

We need 2 holding midfielders. We also need to work on retaining the ball in the middle of the park and keeping more possession.
35% is definitely not the klopp way.

The first 20min we played excellent. as soon as we scored it was downhill. Thats the same issue we had last season... I dont see this going well unless we get more players.

Taking Salah off was a huge mistake. even if his not contributing he keeps 2 defenders busy. and with Nunez on he will capitalize on that as we saw in pre-season. Nunez should be starting with salah and diaz.

If it was earlier in the window then I'd say sell, excellent player but recently all he does is receive the ball, try to shield it, get dispossessed from the back, fall on his ass. At 31 the decline is happening unfortunately, he's still first team level though

Agreed, if we had enough time and find a suitable replacement I would sell for sure, but who is suitable? lol.

His numbers speaks for itself, not only for goals, but assists and constantly pulling 2 defenders makes a huge difference.

Today's game was a great watch...Mac Allister and Szoboslai are massive upgrades to our midfield, and they showed their class today. Szoboslai is a pressing monster.

Now that we have signed Gravenberch as well, this midfield is going to be awesome, with TAA pushing up in the inverted position at times its going to add fire to our midfield.

Gomez had a great game today, and thats two solid performances in two games....he just needs to add this consistency, and I can see him getting back to being the perfect partner for VVD - before he got his long term injury, they had formed a solid CB pairing.

As for Salah and the Saudi League rumours, I do not see him leaving us, right now Klopp would not allow it as we cant get a replacement with the transfer window closed.
