Anything good at the Cinema?

What's wrong with going to movies alone? It's not like you're going to be talking to anyone while the movie is playing.
Keep your panties on big boy … it was just a question and no judgement passed. Read the question again if you must

Edit: so I take it you also go to movies alone?

Never said you were judging. Read the question again if you must.

I've never been to a movie alone but if I wanted to see something specific in the cinema and nobody wanted to join me I'd see no reason to not go alone.

Like Barbie ?
Didn't you manage to get anyone to go see Barbie with you? Sorry bud, next time there's a movie you don't want to go watch alone but nobody will join you, let me know and I'll come with.

I am definitely watching this at the cinema:
I must say, Rebel Moon was dog shite. Couldn't get through it in one sitting. It literally nauseated me watching it. I found that bizarre. First time a movie was so bad I had a physical reaction to it.

I hope you didn't pay to watch this at the cinema.

Nope. It only showed in the US and UK for like 2 or 3 days and then straight to Netflix.

I did watch it though and enjoyed it. I didn't get the nauseated feeling, but have had it with other films. Zack Snyder laid down the foundation with part 1 and although I enjoyed the film, I feel it unnecessary that the entire film consists of stating a 'premise'. Cool Zack, how many parts do we need to watch for the actual film and story? All in all, the best 'part 1' movie I've seen is the last Mission Impossible. That's how you do things.

Guys... go and watch Dune Part 2 in the IMAX. It's up there with watching LOTR and The Hobbit in IMAX regarding story and cinematography. You'll thank me later.

Tip: First watch Dune Part 1 again.
Agreed. Definitely see it in IMAX. Your home theatre system will not be the same and the movie deserves it.

Saw it in IMAX this weekend and it was unreal.

I'm always a bit skeptical of IMAX because the sound is often not tuned correctly and sometimes distorts in loud scenes, but they absolutely nailed it with Dune 2.

Can highly recommend it.

Completely agree. It doesn't matter what R1 mil home theatre you have. It won't compare to seeing it in IMAX. The movie was purely created for the IMAX experience.

It reminds me of Avatar 2. The sound wasn't so good.

In terms of the IMAX experience, I'd rate Avatar 2 6/10 whereas Dune gets a solid 10/10.

As someone who watched the original Dune I feel sad every time I don't see Patrick Steward and Sting where they are supposed to be.

Still a great movie though.

My IMAX experience wasn't perfect unfortunately. The sound was just a touch too loud. So it was a 3-hour assault of noise, explosions etc. Even the quiet parts were too loud. Quite a tiring way to watch a movie, but I still loved it.

10/10 will watch it again when I get my hearing back.

Agree on this - watched at The Grove and felt thoroughly ear fucked afterwards.

As a very lightly informed fan - was really well done & eager to see what they bring in the future.

Loved Dune 1 and its one of those movies I would often put on to play at night while just chilling. Heard nothing but good things about the sequel.

Seating location in the cinema plays a role, you may have not been seated in the centre where the sound was intended to be directed at.

Good point. I've noticed it at outdoor music festivals. Some spots are just perfect whereas others are lacking.

Just to clarify seating is specific for imax, the usual movies don't matter.
