I treated myself to a movie at SK today.
I watched The Marvels (3D).

I won't post spoilers, but it's worth the watch. A few children were there as well and seemed entertained. The running time is below 2 hours, which isn't too long for younglings.

I'd like to watch the new Hunger Games after payday. Then it's Aquaman in December.

Post a film you'd like to see.

Subjective, I like Action/Sci-Fi/Horror and (Science/Music) Documentaries.

I watched these recently that I can recommend;
I'm gonna watch Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning P1 next.

The Meg 2 was terrible compared to #1. (no surprise) it's mindless action.

Napoleon also looks good, definitely on the list.

I was a bit peeved that The Creator had such a short Cinema showtime/period. I swear it didn't even show 2 weeks over here and when attempting to book online the only showings of it was in the major Cities only.

I liked The Meg 2 as well. It is mindless action and effects, but I enjoyed it. Expend4bles was ridiculous though. They killed the entire franchise with the last one.

Not at the Cinemas anymore, but check out the Tetris movie if any of you haven't seen it. It's based on a true story of the origins of Tetris and what transpired around it. How Nintendo and Atari battled for dominance and how Game Publishers changed gaming for all of us. It's not a documentary, but it's an awesome movie.

The Creator was pretty good. Worth the watch. Makes you feel shit to be human though.

btw how much for a large popcorn, large slush puppy and some whispers these days? It's been years since I went for a fliek.

Probably R150?

avoid Freelance, its bad. Anyone that says its a good movie is mentally challenged.

Napoleon seemed good from the trailer. The wife was also keen watching Wonka
Yep, I saw the trailer alone and could tell it's literally a copy paste of the script from Extraction. Just switch out Chris Hemsworth for John Cena

Total, plus a small donation was R253 for me. 1 Ticket and a Large Combo.
I have the movie ticket benefit on my Vitality, still around R95 per person but yea... R60 on box office or Google movies vs R300+ to go out for the cinema experience, that's why we only go if it's like an S-tier movie or one we have been anticipating.

Last time was Avatar 2 Equalizer 3 and next time will hopefully be a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie or something from the X-Men universe

I watched Top Gun Maverick in IMAX and it was by far the best movie experience I have ever had. I am patiently waiting on Dune 2 as that will most definitely be dialed up to 110% aswell.

Only on Netflix. Looks like a good watch.
It's been so long so not sure - do some Netflix movies show in theaters first?
Yep, they do. Not all of them though. Major films like this is produced by Netflix (studio), the same as Universal pictures, WB etc.
