So, here's the story. I purchased the DaVinci Mini in the USA last month.
Used it twice there to test it and it worked flawlessly. Unfortunately, despite trying to package it as securely as possible, it did NOT survive the trip to South Africa.
A critical (and so far not replaceable) plastic clip that holds the belt drive of the bed in place shattered in transit. Therefore the bed is NOT operational as it is impossible to enough tension back on the belt. It used some elaborate plastic-spring-clip thing.
If anyone wants the printer for spare parts, the following are still working perfectly;
1. The XYZ Mini Jr Removable Print-Head (its a clip-off-on all-in-one unit) - still perfect.
2. All stepper motors, still perfect.
3. The controller board, and all connectors still perfect.
4. 3 Filaments with the Da Vinci RFID spool holder. 2 Unused.
R 500.00, buyer to collect.
Thanks.
