Yo Peeps,

so reminiscing here a bit after so many years...Twilight gaming was a good place to make new friends for warcraft 3 local comps and making some extra cash...why isnt there some option like this for Dota 2 really?

Anyone else miss the days logging in on Wednesday and Fridays, competing local LegionTD comps and other maps?

Legion TD 2 is now out on Steam if you looking for some old classic W3 custom maps/TD vibes :)
yeah, its a GOOD upgrade from the Legion TD Reborn map on dota.....i play it quite often as i played on twilight the weekly comps they had for the OG Legion TD map so do enjoy the remake of it now, but usually on stockholm or austria servers, not too many players on D2 playing TD's that much.

Good times. If you were hosting with Web Africa (or afrihost, can't remember) you were the champ as MWEB and Telkom players could both join your games.
/VP - oh how this was abused.

i was with Mweb that time on a 10mb dsl line, could host games just had to do port forwarding and ask mweb to open the port for you (at that time i was dealing with mweb for business needs and had a few contacts)

Wonder if we will have enough playerbase to do something like that again on dota2 custom's....think i need to look into it.

Started playing W3 again in the lockdown times, game runs remarkably well on current systems and still as fun as way back.
Was searching for online servers to join, but never really gotten as far as to actually play online.

Love a few custom games every now and then still,

what would you like, w3 locals again on Legion, Spin, and battleships.....Or would you like it on Dota2 Custom Lobbies locally hosted on the same maps....
could do comps again too...im putting feelers out there, perhaps gonna start up

Nitrate vs that random kid (who supposedly has like a few sports cars and whatnot) threatening to meet him out the back at bayside kfc for getting banned. Plot twist, nitrate actually did pitch up but the kid (obviously) never came.

My fav memory was finding out if you typed a mods name it would ping them,,, messing with BLINK

I've been working on setting up a dedicated server for this, anyone keen to spool up some old matches (Dota 1, TD's, TBR, Pudge Wars, Tree Tag etc)?

Do you remember that before twilight was a server called reason, I can remember had top players like swoop and shase...

It started with gosu.web.za

Played StarCraft 1 and W2 Bnet Edition. Diablo 1 players jammed same time. Could message them from SC1.

Point stands, i agree was good ol' days.

I was hosting some WC3 maps at EnterLAN over 3-5 November. Got enough players to play a Warlock match where winner got a free headset.

Also had a CoD4 Promod FFA tourney with some peeps playing S&D through the night. My server config still got WAGE as the hostname. I'm also able to host CoD4 Promod online, but will require a lot of TLC for players to keep coming back.

Was thinking of hosting monthly tournaments with games being announced the day of the tournament. Would love to see new players test out their gamer skills and see how fast they can learn a new (old) game. Is this something people would be interested in?
