Annoying how easy this damn thing scratches. Mine got scratched just from wiping it with a anti-static cloth. Picked a up a vinyl skin from these guys. Works like a charm

Cool tx for the link. My brother ordered one 2 days ago and got it today. Just a pity the postage is more than the item lol. But the fact is the guy could have given some info on this as its not excellent

When do people give neutral ratings?

Either you're happy with a sale or you're unhappy.

You can't be a little bit pregnant...

I would say a neutral sale is when the goods wasn't damaged and expected as it should be but the guy messed you around a bit and you had to wait an hour etc. Coz that can't be seen as a neg rating, not according to me. If he messed up bad, sure give a minus 1.

I think it would be applicable on a hassled sale.
Example: If the seller stuffs around, delays, goes against promises of delivery but later delivers the item as advertised after lots of back and forth comms or delivery with the buyer.

Neutral for a buyer? I can only think of a bad experience of a delayed payment scenario. Personal risk

At the end of last year, I purchased a mechanical keyboard from another member. I know that the risk of shipping falls on the buyer, but to what extent does the seller have a responsibility to securely wrap the parcel.
In my scenario, the seller wrapped the keyboard in one layer of bubble wrap which was open on one side (a bubble wrap bag) and taped with one piece vertically down the keyboard. When I received the keyboard, there was no damage to the wrapping, but two key caps were missing. I contacted the seller and he just said it's my risk.
I didn't leave an iTrader.

It would give a bad itrade for that. Mind you I've had a few bad experiences lately of stuff that doesn't work when it arrives but the seller normally goes out of his way to help out.

Was the wrapped keyboard placed in a box/bag that could have caught the key caps if they fell out?

No. Just a layer of bubble wrap.

Yeah that's shitty packaging. At the very least it should have been in a courier's bag or something as well. Keyboards should be shipped in boxes preferably to avoid keys being messed up. Not sure if it constitutes a bad iTrader, but definitely not a good one. If the seller has a FU attitude, a neutral with bad comment might be a good idea.

Did you receive a picture before hand with all the keys intact?

And brand new items thats covered in 10 tons of dust and smells like it came out of a tobacco factory? People should really learn the difference between brand new and used.

If I buy something brand new and there's a spec of dust inside the packaging, I'm calling BS and letting the guy know. There's nothing to play with when you say something is "brand new". As soon as you open the box and touch the product, it's no longer brand new. It might be as-new or immaculate, but it's not brand new anymore.

You are right! Its either brand new meaning sealed, never used, or its used but in X condition. thanks man!
