LOL the GTX680 has the exact same problem...slight voltage bump and it runs fine...lol
Back to square 1 now again.......
For some reason the core and memory dropped to like 620Mhz, and it worked fine yesterday... today I reset it back to stock and uppded the voltage to 1174mV again... game keeps on crashing... I'm over this BS now. Even dropping the core to stock 925Mhz as well as 825Mhz doesn't work.
Feel like selling this PC and just using the laptop, it's never given me issues.
So effing annoyed I can smash this PC..... ffs...
But it's only battle$%^ that keeps crashing... all other games are fine thus far. WTF?!?!?!?!?!
Oh well...
Going to run Furmark now on completely stock settings and see if it crashes as well... if that's the case, I'm buying a GTX680 and RMA'ing this card.
Daaam Dude after all the effort and Cud goodies to get rig in order this had to happen, dam I feel your pain right now and hope you get it sorted out.
Noobie snacks, dude you are having the worst luck ever!
Hope you get sorted out, it is terrible seeing you like this, almost as bad as watching you die in BF.
Im with you on the 680... (drooool)
as for which mobo.. hmm tuff decision, the asus has some nice features with the built in wifi and seems to have a better sound card.. BUT that gigabyte has the msata board.. i personally think its much more usefull cos then you dont need to loose any of your precious system SSD space to take advantage of Intel smart response.. they both nice so cant go wrong either way i recon..
Yeah Sari...
I've done some thinking and I'm rather going to keep the 7970, but as I stated, if it gives me as much as one issue, it's gone - hopefully this one behaves itself better than the previous one - in hindsight this card froze up even in my 1366 rig, hard lock ups forcing me to reboot the machine.
Hopefully it was a faulty unit and not a 7970 thing.
As Oj0 said, if I'm getting rid of the 7970, it will be for NOTHING less than a 680.
